Earth Day Columbus 2017 from April 8 to 15, 2017
A week of volunteer service sites in central Ohio
About Earth Day 2017
Save the date: Earth Day Celebrations is on 4/22/17 at the Columbus Commons. Many thanks to all who hosted a service site or volunteered their time and energy at one of over 130 events between 4/08/17 to 4/15/17.
You made an impact!
Once more community leaders, non-profits and businesses contributed to the largest Earth Day volunteer service project in the nation. Since 2007, Central Ohio has benefited from more than 100,000 hours of citizen “green” service thanks to Green Columbus’ efforts. Service sites varied in size from 5 to 300 volunteers and ranged from neighborhood litter sweeps, community gardens, and river-cleanups to tree planting, green spaces and invasive species removal. We are grateful and humbled by the many super-volunteers, companies and organizations that hosted a service site or two (or five) this year. You are all amazing.
