How do I volunteer for a service site?

Service sites are run by community organizations, schools and colleges, businesses, places of worship, and other groups. Click on "Volunteer" above to browse the service sites that still need volunteers.

When you select a service site, you will be prompted to create or log in to a Givepulse account (you can also use your Facebook account). Once you've provided your information, created your account, logged in, and chosen a site, you will receive all the details of your service site and time. When you've signed up for a service site, you will receive a confirmation. Simply show up at the designated place and time and help keep Columbus green!

How do I choose a good service site for myself or my group?

Each service site will be different depending on the host and the nature of the work to be done. It's best to consider the ability level of all the members of your group and match that with the intensity of the activity. Some services (such as tree planting) can be more physically demanding than others (such as litter pickup). We recommend reading the details of each service site fully before choosing one that's right for you and/or your group.

What do I need to take part in a service site?

Everyone taking part in a service site should bring water, sun screen, and any necessary personal items such as medication, inhalers, etc. Some sites will offer some supplies such as gloves and tools on site, but we recommend you read each site's details fully to know what to bring.

How do I host a service site?

The deadline for new service sites has passed for Earth Day Columbus 2017, and we cannot accept any new sites at this time. Plenty of sites still need volunteers, however! Click "Volunteer" above to browse available sites around Columbus.

How do I book a vendor booth at the Celebration on April 22?

Vendors who want to sell their wares at the Earth Day Celebration can book a booth by clicking here. Green Columbus will provide the tent. Vendors must bring their own tables and chairs.
