What is Earth Day Columbus?

Earth Day Columbus is the largest volunteer-led Earth Day volunteer effort and celebration in the U.S. Organized annually by Green Columbus, a Central Ohio nonprofit, Earth Day Columbus is a week of on-site volunteer opportunities leading up to our annual Celebration in downtown Columbus!

How do I volunteer for a service site?

Volunteer service sites for 2018 are accepting volunteers now! Click on "Volunteer" above to browse the dozens of sites around Central Ohio looking for people like you!

How do I choose the right site?

Each service site will be different depending on the host and the nature of the work to be done. It's best to consider the ability level of all the members of your group and match that with the intensity of the activity. Some services (such as tree planting) can be more physically demanding than others (such as litter pickup). We recommend reading the details of each service site fully before choosing one that's right for you and/or your group.

What will I need to participate at a service site?

Everyone taking part in a service site should bring water, sun screen, and any necessary personal items such as medication, inhalers, etc. Some sites will offer some supplies such as gloves and tools on site, but we recommend you read each site's details fully so you know what to bring.

How do I host a service site?

Service site host registration has closed for 2018.

How do I book a vendor booth at the Celebration?

Vendor registration is coming soon! For now, save the date of the Earth Day Celebration, which will be Sunday, April 22.
